Wake up - it's morning in Kigali

View from my hotel room at 5:45 am Wednesday morning - slept great in case you are interested and the internet is working. Made some Rwandan tea and the sun is coming up slowly. Just pinched myself to make sure I am not dreaming all this. The weather looks like it is going to be sunny and in the 70s, fresh/cool perfect. Freddy mentioned that although it still is the rainy season, it has not rained much. Weather forecasts show rain and thunderstorms coming.


I exchanged some money yesterday - $400 dollars (btw, they only took those bills dated post 2001, the anti-counterfeit designed ones) and got 212,000 Rwandan Francs in return. The 5,000 Rwandan Francs bill looks great with the Gorilla motif. Listening to the sounds outside - Kigali is starting to wake. Off we go...
